My biggest question is why is there Minecraft music playing over this video?

This was one of my favorite games for the last few years, I’ve been sailing around fishing and enjoying the seas, helping others catch fish and just cooking for random players while I hitchhike. But with all of the fishing and everything that I’ve done in the hunters call I have a little to show for it and absolutely no curse. And the curse that would’ve looked amazing to go with the hunters call ends up in the pirate Emporium. I have supported this game up until this point and I am fine with other cosmetics in the pirate Emporium. But putting curses in the plunder pass or the pirate Emporium behind a pay wall is just depressing. Flat out. I can’t see myself supporting this game anymore. They haven’t done anything with the hunters calling years and, they didn’t even give us rings. There’s no point in sailing anymore. I have nothing to work towards other than making the Hunter milestone in my pirates log to 3000 instead of 2000. It took the wind out of my sails.

I dont play on safer seas, but I feel captaincy should atleast be a thing.. mostly because of trinkets etc. And buying a ship the only advantage it has is selling to 1 spot instead of 3 and I dont really see why that cant be allowed.

What about Mayhem set? Don’t see anyone talking about them let alone using them, and the Borderlands anniversary last year (or the movie later this year) would have been the perfect time to rerelease them

I never played safer seas i do Events hunting and get my MONNNEY and im a ps5player so everyone that safe seas play is a "noob"

Aggressive monetization like this is a massive red flag. I fear they may be holding the company hostage to earnings: "Make x amount or you're out!". This reeks of desperation to me. With how many studios Microsoft shut down recently, I wouldn't be surprised if they're fearmongering Rare into going back on their promises.

I would like another community choice adventure with flameheart and the pirate lord. Steal the burning blade sword or help the pirate lord stop flameheart from retrieving the sword.

What i hate about the way they doing seasons rn is that the last 2 or 3 seasons have mainly been quality of life improvements rather than actuly new contnet. sure we got the new weapons this season but i still ended up just doing forts to level up my battle pass and as nice as guilds was before again it added nothing actuly new other than another thing to grind. i really hate as well how all the content for the entire season is more or less out on the first day like we get nothing not even the adventures anymore for the gap between finishing the plunder pass and the next season. im against drip feeds in games like this but we need something more than just 1 big content drop every 3 months and then nothing till the next one.

It's sad to see Rare putting far more effort into Emporium Cosmetics than the actual storyline anymore. While I do feel it was sweet to have Tasha's curse finally being broken, the fact that the blade gets so easily stolen feels like such a slap to the face when I think we could all see it from miles away with it just.. y'know, being there. I just.. don't get the direction the game is going anymore, SoT is a fantastic game and I do still get some fun from playing it, however the effort put in by Rare has been slowly fading overtime and it downright sucks to see. I know this is likely more Microsoft's fault with Rare taking the brunt of the criticism as you said, but it just sucks that they aren't at least trying to maintain a proper balance between keeping the game fun and engaging while trying to pit pocket our wallets for pixels, especially when both work in tandem with one another. If Rare put more towards keeping people engaged in the game, then in turn the players are more likely to spend money on the game, but unfortunately Microsoft doesn't understand this, yet they wonder why their IP's aren't making them more money.

Thank. You. I just came back from a break and had no idea the old season pass rewards were re-added for doubloons (The wiki has no mention of it). The Ferryman figurehead is the only figurehead I've genuinely ever wanted to buy, but had no chance to finish the battle pass due to IRL. I even asked Rare for it since I had bought the pass. Now I have my Ferryman figurehead to complete my theme of Ferryman outfit (yes, the controller one) and Ghost Captain's Sails.

They just don't want to split the player base. If there was no incentive to be in a pvp server then there would be very few people playing pvp.

Yesterday was my first time playing in almost 2 years and i found a nice skeleton curse user who helped me and my friend out with a order of souls boss fight, they didnt steal a thing which i thought was really cool

I got most of the old stuff that you can't get even get anymore from the start of the game but i more likely out sail ya then out fight ya i remember this one time 2 galleons were fighting each other over a fort i saw them took each other out at the same time so i when for the fort and it was just about done so i finished the fort took the key and cut and run because both of the galleons were back and they wanted that key so they started chasing me for 2 hours this was back during launch there was no harpoons or rowboats and stuff so i start changing direction and using anchor drops to do a quick turn around at one point i did a 180 and sail right towards the galleons and sliping right past them getting a big head start they were still chasing but then a random spawn in on my ship and i told him my plan to do a drive by on a island with me and the key then i hide the key on the island then hide myself after a bit they stop chasing him so he pick me up we when to the fort and got all the loot to are selfs what makes one of the best things to me in sea of thieves is the chase

Bruh I tried non safer seas and literally got spawn killed by a group of 4 and when I tried to join a team they blew up our own ship and wouldn't stop putting me in the brig for no reason.

The only, ONLY, rare clithing item I have is the arena courage boots or whatever they're called, I consider everything from 2020 and before as rare, and that's the only thing that fits the bill, honestly I wish they would give out one clothing set a year to anyone who played during that year, the "be on between these days" cosmets are a bit frustarting, like I was playing the game back then, I just didn't play during that time, and I have nothing to show for it

Ive got Merrics Drum, Bone Crusher....everything, Forsaken Ashen everything, along with the festival of the damned sails. Ive got, quite a lot of stuff, now, i don't have everything, but, i got a lot of cosmetics. If anyone would like to see them for themselves in game, lmk, I'd be happy to show them.

Would you consider the PotC shanty to be rare? Because that's so hard to get, and boring might I add.

After completing 102% of the game I got Mirror Sail that mirrors the surrounding areas so attack's are quite rare

I’d love to see you do a video ranking your favorite SoT characters, maybe excluding PotC and MI characters though (except Stan because he’s the best)

Think you missed off the three sets of sails during the Cursed Sails event which are no longer available.

For me, I’m getting pretty close to finishing the midnight prowler set and with its change it for some reason set me to 73 instead of the amount I had before. So basically I have another 27 to get. They really do look nice.

There was the adventure where you had to meet Belle at Crescent Island, go to my absolute LEAST favorite island on the map to summon and fight ghosts and bring her back some disk things and a map to dig up on Crescent Island to bring her. (Do I remember the name? No. No I don't.) I sailed from Crescent Island to the Worst Island and realized I didn't take the special ghost flame in my lantern to do the ritual so I had to sail all the way back to get it. I returned WITH the flame and summoned the ghosts and fought the ghosts and got the disk things and the map and returned to Belle. Right as I was reaching Crescent Island to see Belle and finish the adventure.... I was migrated to another server and my MAP DISAPPEARED! I gave her the disk things but I couldn't dig up the final treasure so my adventure was not complete. Now, I had been waiting to find a time a friend was available to go with me because those adventures are more fun with company, with no luck. So I had waited till the last minute. Fortunately, upon hearing my tale of woe, a friend volunteered to do the adventure again with me. We had maybe 6 hours before the adventure went bye bye. THIS voyage was not without extra drama (a storm and a pirate fleet event got in our way). We fought the ghosts but they didn't drop any of the disk things. My friend said that because I had already given Belle the disks last time it would complete but I wasn't certain until I used the map to dig up the box on Crescent Island and give it to her. I did get my commendation and my hat so it all worked out. But losing that map with the server migration is a gut punch I'll never forget.
